2023 – A Year in Review

As the new year unfolds, we extend our warmest wishes to each of you, hoping for a prosperous and joyful year ahead. Amidst our dedication to executing ambitious business plans for 2024, we take a moment to reflect on the past year at aclaros, which marked our 20th anniversary in business. In this letter, we aim to provide insights into our achievements, successes, challenges, and lessons learned, laying the foundation for our journey in the coming year.

The 2023 year commenced on a positive note for Aclaros. We experienced unprecedented success, witnessing record-high numbers in new customer implementations, an upsurge in projects from our existing customer base, and a backlog of technical and integration projects from the prior year. This momentum carried us through the entire calendar year, resulting in high-double digit growth. Concurrently, our focus remained on expanding our team to enhance resource capacity and skillsets across various areas, including our functional, technical, project management, and sales teams.

While we celebrate our accomplishments, it is imperative to acknowledge and learn from our failures and challenges. We found that the economic uncertainties and increased borrowing costs led to some hesitation in 2023 among our clients and prospects when considering investments in technological initiatives. Moreover, we experienced a heightened pressure from our competition in 2023 which posed additional challenges that we navigated throughout the year. As an SAP Platinum Partner, we continue to place our trust in SAP’s suite of solutions and technology. Our enduring partnership with SAP, a world leader in ERP solutions, is a testament to our confidence in their innovative and competitive plans for the future of SAP Business One.

aclaros actively strengthened its relationships within the SAP Business One ecosystem by participating in key events such as the SAP Innovation Summit in Panama City, the United VARs annual conference in Germany, and SAP led training in Phoenix, AZ. These engagements revealed SAP’s substantial investment in the SAP Business One platform for years to come and the incredible opportunities that lie ahead as a Platinum Partner within the United VARs association. Among the most notable enhancements on tap that we eagerly anticipate includes the completion of the SAP B1 web client, the incorporation of AI-driven tools like Chatbots, automated credit card gateway processing integration, and the mobile experience.

Our commitment to customer-centric interactions persisted through our attendance at various customer-specific events. Additionally, we are proud to share that Irenae Jacobs successfully completed her first year as Chairperson of the Partner Advisory Council (PAC) for SAP Business One in North America. This role grants us, and by proxy our customers, a direct line of communication with both SAP Executives and leaders among our peers, fostering strategic collaboration and significant influence over the future of SAP Business One.
